Election to the Advisory Board for Scotland to take up office in 2011

Notice is given that the election to the Advisory Board for Scotland will be held in December 2010. There are vacancies in the Consultant, Staff & Associate Specialist (SAS) and Trainee categories.

Consultant vacancies
There will be four Consultant vacancies due to the completion of two terms of office by Dr J R Colvin and one term of office by Dr T T McLintock, Dr E M McGrady and Dr H E Hosie. The names of the eligible candidates who have given notice that they intend to stand, in order received, are;

There will be one SAS vacancy due to the demitting of office by Dr K Wilson. The following nomination has been received and is returned unopposed.

Trainee vacancy

Voting
The Electoral Reform Services (ERS) will shortly be issuing ballot papers to all those eligible to vote, there will be the option to vote electronically. The entire election process is managed by the ERS.

Fellows are requested to give notice to the Membership Supervisor at the Royal College of Anaesthetists (email: subs@rcoa.ac.uk) without delay if they have changed their address so that their voting papers are not misdirected.

Ballot papers must be returned to the Electoral Reform Services (ERS) by 5.00 pm on Friday, 3 December 2010 and the election results will be declared as soon as possible after Monday, 6 December 2010 via the College website and will be published in the College Bulletin.
