No information found on early appointments, but by 1927 she was honorary anaesthetist to the Childrens Hospital, Birkenhead, adding the same appointment at the North Liverpool Hospital two years later. From 1932 the Birkenhead appointment was to the General, and from 1942 the Liverpool one to the Royal Liverpool Hospital, this later becoming the Royal United Liverpool Hospitals. She retired in 1961.

Other biographical information

Husband, James B Oldham, was an eminent surgeon, and she worked with him. Although he was known for always criticising and complaining, he wouldn’t work with anyone else! There were no children.
