Trainee Representation and the Trainee Committee

The College welcomes the interest from trainees towards the future work of the Trainee Committee and their contribution to the work of the College in setting and maintaining standards for training and clinical practice in anaesthesia, critical care and pain medicine.

The role of the College’s Trainee Committee is to:
- Represent trainee opinion to the College Council.
- To enhance and maintain dissemination of trainee information to trainees via the RCoA website, College Bulletin and other methods.
- To, when requested by Council, provide representation on Council sub-committees and working parties.
- To provide anaesthetic trainee representation on various external committees as requested, including the Academy Trainee Doctors Group (ATDG) and The Group of Anaesthetists in Training (GAT), and
- To actively participate in the professional development of trainee anaesthetists.
