Patient Safety in Perioperative Medicine

Event information:
A one day meeting to discuss patient safety, including the barriers to delivering safe perioperative care, and strategies on how to overcome them.

Its aims are to build upon existing knowledge and clinical practice to make systems, processes and organisations safer: Using the science of patient safety, drawing upon previous errors and the use of education (including simulation) and quality improvement programs, to improve patient care.

Lifebox - Saving lives through safer surgery
The RCoA will make a donation of £10 to Lifebox for every delegate attending this event.

ACSA Reviewer Training Day

Talks include information on how to be an effective ACSA clinical reviewer with details on what to expect and how to prepare.  Speakers are current ACSA reviewers, members of the ACSA committee who oversee the ACSA process and clinical leads from ACSA accredited departments.
