Event timings:

Our one day course on Advanced Educational Supervision consists of talks covering the governance of education and revalidation of trainees and trainers and workshops on effective Educational Supervision, Serious Untoward Incident (SUI’s), Doctors in Difficulty (DIDs), feedback and assessment.

The workshops will give participants time to discuss the problems and challenges of educational supervision in anaesthesia in the context of the current climate and help them increase the effectiveness of the educational supervision they provide.

This event is suitable for experienced Educational Supervisors, who have completed their initial training and have gained a few years’ experience.

It is especially suitable for those who would like an update for revalidation or who are looking to take a formal educational role within their organisations.

The RCoA Anaesthetists as Educators Programme can support trainers in meeting the requirements for GMC Recogniion and Approval of Trainers.  The course content is mapped to the GMC's seven domains and participation in this course will provide supporting evidence towards the GMC approval process for named educational supervisors and named clinical supervisors.

This course is run in conjunction with SEAUK.  For further details please click here
