The CPD Study Days are designed to cover the essentials you need to keep up to date with your revalidation in anaesthetic and surgical practice.

During the event there will be ample opportunity to ask questions of the expert speakers who will be happy to answer queries at all levels. The days cover a variety of topics and our aim is that no delegate should leave for home with unanswered questions about any of the subjects.

Lectures may include:

  • Preoperative assessment challenges and some solutions
  • Challenges to meet NICE timing of fracture neck of femur management
  • Perioperative fluid management, conclusion or still confusion?
  • ICU airway management guidelines
  • How to improve outcomes of the septic laparotomy patient
  • New national guidance for mass casualty incidents – the first 24 hours in hospital
  • Obstetrics
  • Opioid-free perioperative analgesia: No more a myth
  • Good Samaritan laws in Europe and their implications for (UK) doctors
