On Tuesday 31st January 2017 the College is hosting an all-day event for Perioperative Medicine (POM) Local Clinical Leads. The event will look at a selection of best practice models of POM services throughout the UK, and examine how these could be replicated in different hospitals, as well as focusing on the development of the Perioperative Medicine Programme generally. It will also provide an excellent opportunity for networking between those involved in developing perioperative medicine. This event is being organised by the two National Clinical Leads for Perioperative Medicine: Dr Chris Snowden and Dr Mike Swart.

This event is only open to POM Local Leads. POM Local Leads are committed to the development of Perioperative Medicine and are working to assist in the local delivery of Perioperative Care. We are aiming to identify a Lead within every hospital in the UK; if you do not currently have a Lead in your hospital and would like to put yourself forwards please contact us. The Job Description and list of current Leads can be viewed on the POM microsite:
