Biography

Qualified University of Liverpool 1979, and trained in anaesthesia in Mersey and North West regions.

Consultant 1987–1994 at Wigan and Leigh Trust, with one year as medecin attache at Hôpital Bichat, Paris. Moved to Warrington in 1994, (now Warrington & Halton NHS Foundation Trust.) Served full terms as College Tutor, then Training Programme Director for SpRs, in Mersey Deanery 2003–2008. One term served as Medical Staff  FT Governor. RCoA Regional Advisor Mersey from 2009–2013. President Liverpool Society of Anaesthetists 2012–2014. Retired from full time work in June 2018, and returned to work on part time basis.
