Dr Lucy Williams

Term of office on Council

March 2016–2022

Great Western Hospital, Swindon

Dr Williams graduated from Newcastle in 1990 and married into the Army. The frequent moves necessitated a rather unconventional and intermittent career. She started work in Swindon in 2007, did an MSc and developed a special interest in pain management. Clinical time is split between pain and anaesthetics and she currently leads the Pain Team.

Dr Williams has been active within the hospital SAS community and joined the College SAS Committee in 2014. SAS doctors are a significant part of the anaesthetic workforce and have widely differing development needs. She would like the grade to be seen as a positive career choice. SAS doctors have much to offer and Dr Williams hopes to make a contribution across all areas of College business.

Register of Interests
