Applications for FRCA examiners 2019-2020

Applying to be an FRCA examiner was 'the best thing I have ever done.'

Each year the College invites applications for vacancies to the Board of Examiners in the Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists. Examiners are recruited to the Primary examination in the first instance. The number of examiners required each year depends on the number of retirements from the current Board of Examiners.

If you have been a consultant for five years and are involved in the training of anaesthetic trainees then why not take the next step and become an FRCA examiner.

The examiner recruitment round for 2019–2020 (there will be a training day on 4 October 2019) is now open and runs until 8 October 2018. The application form and a full list of essential criteria, which must be met on application, are available on the becoming an examiner page.
