College Tutors Meeting 2017

Our 2017 College Tutors Meeting has concluded for another year. With around 300 delegates in attendance, highlights included a keynote lecture from Dr Colin Melville, Director of Education and Standards, GMC. There were also presentations from Dr JP Lomas, RCoA Council member on trainee morale and welfare, and a session by Dr Mike Farquhar, Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, on fatigue and the anaesthetist.

Day two concluded with a 25th Anniversary debate between RCoA President Dr Liam Brennan and Professor Peter Hutton, RCoA Past President. Conversations centred around training and assessment now and in 1992 and perspectives on the training programme over the last 25 years.

The next major RCoA event is our Winter Symposium, which takes place on 16–17 November 2017 at the College. Further details can be found here.
