RCoA outlines recommendations for the Autumn Budget 2017

Ahead of the Chancellor delivering the Autumn Budget on Wednesday 22 November 2017, the Royal College of Anaesthetists has provided representation to HM Treasury, outlining three key recommendations for Government:

  • The introduction of a ring-fenced capital fund for the NHS.
  • The establishment of an independent Office for Health and Care Sustainability to inform future funding decisions.
  • Extra investment in public health and prevention services where informed by modelling which incorporates the impact across the full health and social care pathway.
