Internet
Always lower case.

Inpatient
One word, no hyphen.

Inverted commas
Use sparingly. Use single inverted commas for reported speech and quotations, and double quotation marks for quotes within a quote, eg Graham said 'the College’s examinations results were the "best ever recorded" in his report'.

Italics

  • use italics for titles of books, newspapers, official reports and studies and publications, including the Bulletin, but not for titles of articles in journals and individual chapters in books
  • commonly used Latin words and abbreviations should not be italicised
  • never use italics in headlines.
