Wales and Scotland 2021 Elections

Campaigning in the 2021 elections

Campaigning for change at the upcoming Welsh and Scottish elections

Voters in Wales and Scotland will head to the polls on 6 May 2021 to choose the next Scottish Parliament and Senedd.

The RCoA Wales and Scotland Boards are putting together manifestos laying out their priorities for future change based on what our members living in Wales and Scotland most want, need, and think for the future of the specialty, for the NHS, and for the health of patients and the public.  These manifestos will form the basis of the RCoA’s campaigning agenda in Scotland and Wales for the duration of these new parliaments.

Where are we now?

Over the past several months, we’ve spoken to stakeholders across the health system (including patient groups) to come up with a ‘long list’ of potential priorities for inclusion in the manifestos.  These priorities span workforce gaps, NHS staff health and wellbeing, population health needs, sustainability and the environment, and COVID recovery needs, among other areas.

How you can get involved - take our surveys

We now need your help to 'short list' our priorities for inclusion in our manifestos. If you are an RCoA member living in Wales or Scotland, please give us 10 minutes of your time to take our short surveys. They can be accessed here:

These surveys are now closed. We will be using the results to inform our manifestos - please check back here in late February when we publish them.
