We are looking to recruit Simulation Leads in some regions.

Check the list above to see if we already have a Simulation Lead for your region.

Simulation Leads:

  • Provide a regional point of contact on the use of simulation in enhancing anaesthetic practice.
  • Link with the relevant School of Anaesthesia to promote communication between key groups with an interest in this work.
  • Develop and maintain a network of colleagues or trainees at local trust or departmental level who support the design and delivery of simulation-based training activities.
  • Identify local examples of good practice or innovation in simulation-based training.
  • Help disseminate high quality simulation-based training resources and innovations.
  • Support local engagement in projects to enhance curriculum delivery.
  • Support the development of events based around simulation-based training in anaesthetics.

We do not pay Simulation Leads, but evidence of activity in the role role can be used to support sign off in educational domains on the Lifelong Learning Platform. Simulation Leads can get discounted membership of ASPiH as part of the RCoA Institutional Membership arrangement.

We host meetings of the Simulation Leads Network no more than twice a year, and will cover travel expenses if the meeting is held face to face.
