Election to RCoA Devolved Nations Boards: results announced

Nominations for election to the RCoA Scottish and Welsh Boards of the Royal College of Anaesthetists closed at 12 noon on Thursday 19 January.

The College is pleased to confirm that the following candidates have been elected unopposed, with terms of office commencing in February/March 2023.

RCoA Scottish Board

Consultant vacancies (in alphabetical order, two to elect):

  • Dr Susie CHAPMAN
  • Dr Angela JENKINS

SAS vacancy (one to elect):  

  • Dr Nafees JAFRY

Congratulations and welcome Angela, Susie and Nafees to the Scottish Board. Dr Daphne Varveris, Chair of the Scottish Board said:

RCoA Welsh Board

Outstanding vacancies

There remain two vacancies on the Welsh Board for a representative from the Hywel Dda Health Board and a new vacancy for an SAS representative. We are keen for Consultants, Specialist Grade, Staff Grade and Associate Specialist members interested in joining the Board to get in touch, so that we can discuss the importance of the role and the impact you can have on representing your nation and specialty.
