Thank you for your interest in the Medical Training Initiative (MTI).

The MTI scheme is a philanthropic government initiative with the purpose of assisting doctors from low to middle-income countries to come to the UK for a limited period of training within the NHS before returning to their home country. MTI doctors must come to the UK on a tier 5 visa only. This is currently for a maximum stay of two years.

Applicants for MTI posts must upload copies of the following documents when they submit this application form.

This must include:
  1. Total number of trainee doctors in the department
  2. The study leave allowance – number of days/year and the budget allocated
  3. If a relocation package is offered, how much?
  4. Salary.
