2022 edition of Guidelines for the Provision of Anaesthetic Services

The Royal College of Anaesthetists is pleased to announce the publication of the 2022 edition of the Guidelines for the Provision of Anaesthetic Services (GPAS). This edition includes fully revised chapters on Emergency Anaesthesia, Obstetric Anaesthesia, Paediatric Anaesthesia, Ophthalmic Anaesthesia and Anaesthesia services for Burns and Plastics Surgery.

GPAS supports anaesthetists with responsibilities for service delivery and healthcare managers to design and deliver high quality anaesthetic services. All GPAS chapters are developed using a rigorous, evidence-based process, and are accredited by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence.
