Policy and communications

The Royal College of Anaesthetists provides a powerful and collective voice to raise the profile of our members, their work and of the specialty amongst patients and the public, government, regulators, the media and various other stakeholders.

By championing the central role of anaesthesia in patient care, the College will strengthen its position as the expert anaesthesia body.

We aim to achieve this by:

  • enhancing member engagement
  • communicating the central role of anaesthesia
  • influencing decision making in the health and social care sector
  • supporting patients and
  • working in partnership with key stakeholders both within the United Kingdom and internationally.
