Dr Fiona Donald – new President of the Royal College of Anaesthetists

The Royal College of Anaesthetists is delighted to announce that Dr Fiona Donald, a consultant obstetric anaesthetist at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, has taken up office as the next President of the College. Fiona succeeds Professor Ravi Mahajan, who has been in post since 2018.

Anaesthesia is the largest single hospital specialty in the NHS. The Royal College of Anaesthetists is the professional body responsible for the specialty throughout the UK.

Working with our members, we ensure the quality of patient care through the maintenance of standards in anaesthesia, critical care and pain medicine.
