The RCoA will stop posting on X

For some time, the RCoA has been monitoring developments on the X social media platform and keeping our presence under review.  

Like many other charities, we have become increasingly concerned about the continued rise in harmful content and abusive behaviour on X and its growing incompatibility with our values. Members have also shared their concerns with us about our continued presence on the platform. These issues have intensified following the use of the platform’s Grok AI tool to create and share harmful images, and the subsequent investigation launched by Ofcom.  

In light of this, we have taken the decision to stop posting on X. We will keep this decision under review.  

We remain committed to being accessible to our members and the wider public. We encourage you to stay connected with us on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Bluesky. We will continue to monitor all social media platforms to ensure they remain appropriate and safe places for engagement.
