All membership applications are subject to a verification process, which varies depending on the membership category applied for.

We are committed to improving the calibre of our examinations, ensuring that they are delivered in line with best practice in assessment for each medical specialty. As part of that commitment, we undertake regular reviews of the FRCA examination, the most recent of which we published in January 2023.

Anaesthetists in training are represented within the College by the Anaesthetist in Training Committee (AiT) and are elected from the Anaesthetists in Training Representative Group (ATRG).
