Supervised Learning Events (SLEs) for LLP users
Supervised Learning Events (SLEs) are designed to support professional discussions between anaesthetists in training and their trainers. They aim to guide future learning with a focus on constructive feedback, covering both specialty-specific skills and broader professional behaviours. These conversations should encourage development through repeated cycles of experience, reflection, conceptualisation, and application.
SLEs are approved by an assessor chosen on the form. Approval may be obtained either electronically by sending the form for agreement or via quick approval if the assessor is present.
Once approved, an assessment becomes locked and cannot be edited. To make any changes, including amendments to Key Capabilities, the form must be returned to draft. This removes existing approvals or sign-offs, and the form must then be re-sent for approval.

HALO:
When a Supervised Learning Event (SLE) or Personal Activity is linked to a domain, a HALO is automatically created. This places the Learner’s HALO into an “in progress” status. This status only shows that evidence has been attached and has no additional functionality compared with “not started.”
Once the Learner has met all the requirements of the domain, the HALO is automatically sent to the Assessor for review. If the Learner wishes to delete a HALO, this can be done by scrolling to the bottom of the HALO page and selecting the delete option.
