Our response to COVID-19

In response to COVID-19 our offices in Holborn London will close from 5pm on Tuesday 17 March until Government advice changes. While staff are working from home, the College emphatically remains open for business.

Forthcoming RCoA member survey on assisted dying

Next month we will invite all members to complete a short survey on assisted dying. The survey will be anonymous and advisory to Council. It is not a mandate for the College to take any particular action but will enable Council to have an informed discussion based on your views.

Examination pass rates Final FRCA (from September 2023)

The College publishes statistical information on pass / fail rates for both FRCA Primary and Final examinations. Further information on exam processes, standard setting, reliability and quality assurance can be found in the Primary and Final chair's annual exam review reports.

RCoA President and Vice-President Elections

Professor Ravi Mahajan has been re-elected College President for a second year. Dr Fiona Donald and Professor Mike Grocott have both been elected Vice-Presidents for a first year with effect from September 2019.

Joint statement about Ukraine

The previously published joint statement on Ukraine has been withdrawn following the adoption of new guidelines developed by the College’s Ethics Committee and approved by Council and the Board of Trustees. The guidelines relate to the criteria for making a statement on humanitarian emergencies and other areas of conflict.
