Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has been re-accredited under the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA) Anaesthesia Clinical Services Accreditation (ACSA) scheme.
The RCoA welcomes the publication of the results of the GMC’s National Training survey, which shows that 90% of anaesthetists in training rated their training as good or very good, and nearly 80% felt they had achieved the expected level of practical experience in the previous year.
This report sets out how the NHS is in dire need of more anaesthetists. Anaesthetists play a critical role across many NHS services, and most operations require an anaesthetist to be present in order to take place.
